DANUBE DECLARATION ADOPTED IN THE FRAME OF THE 3RD MINISTERIAL MEETING OF THE ICPDR

Following two years of preparatory work in the frame of the International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River (ICPDR) the “Danube River Basin Management Plan Update 2015” has been developed and endorsed by the ICPDR high level representatives in December 2015.

Focusing on the measures – included in the management plan – that will be implemented over a six-year period until 2021, a Danube Declaration was adopted in the frame of the 3rd ICPDR Ministerial Meeting in Vienna, held on the 9 February 2016.

The “Danube River Basin Management Plan Update 2015” is an important milestone of the Danube Strategy activities as well and will serve as a basic document towards reaching good status of waters of the basin.

More information about the event is available in the ICPDR website: www.icpdr.org
