Recently, PA4 together with Slovak University of Technology, Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology in Bratislava, have prepared study on pharmaceuticals occurrence of in the waters of the Danube Region. The study summarises the legislation background; describes  the most commonly occurred substances; the occurrence and monitoring of selected drugs, pharmaceuticals and their metabolites in wastewater, sludge and  surface waters; and their impact on environment.
