PAN-EUROPEAN ACTION PLAN FOR STURGEONS ADOPTED

 

For EUSDR PA4 the protection of sturgeons is an important topic and it is also included in our Action Plan via “Secure viable populations of Danube sturgeon species”.

On 27-30 November 2018, the Bern Convention organised the 38th annual meeting of its Standing Committee. Contracting Parties, experts and NGO representatives gathered to discuss the outcomes of activities implemented throughout 2018. In its meeting the Pan-European Sturgeons Action Plan, through Recommendation No. 199/2018 was also adopted. Please see the website of the meeting here.
