On 21 October 2019 there was organized the Sediment Balance Workshop at the Water Research Institute in Bratislava, Slovakia. Stakeholders from 7 countries were participating in this event which covered the following topics – alteration of sediment balance as a significant water management issue, sediment monitoring along the Danube and suspended sediment data analysis, morphological development of the Danube River, sediment balance assessment, measures to stop bed erosion and measures against sedimentation and finally recommendations on sediment management.
