2018 DANUBE WATER CONFERENCE WITH EUSDR PA4 PARTICIPATION HELD
The 2018 Danube Water Conference on “Achieving sustainable water and sanitation for all: progress, challenges and future actions in the Danube Region” was held on May 2-3, 2018 in Vienna, Austria. The 2018 Danube Water Conference is organized by the Danube Water Program (IAWD and World Bank) with funding from the Austrian Government. The conference brought together 165 key sector representatives from entities such as national utility associations, the regional network of associations of local authorities, water and wastewater utilities, line ministries, regulatory authorities, the donor community and other international associations to discuss the progress, challenges and the required future actions to achieve sustainable water and sanitation services for all in the Danube region, along the foundation of smart policies and strong utilities.
Zsuzsanna Kocsis-Kupper from EUSDR PA4 also provided a presentation in session ” International and national actions to achieve sustainable water and sanitation services.” The event provided great opportunities to discuss with water expert also from many NON EU countries about common challenges and regional initiatives.
