We are happy to announce that in the end of March 2024 EUSDR PA4 signed a new cooperation memorandum with an important organization of the Danube Region: the International Association of Water Service Companies in the Danube River Catchment Area (IAWD).
This new cooperation has a potential to create win-win solutions in the areas that are mutually relevant for both entities, especially in the following identified topics of joint interests:
• Integrated river basin management planning
• Integrated urban water and waste water management
• Drinking water management
• Sludge management
• Overall cooperation on youth and education
• Knowledge sharing and capacity building activities
• Network of water facilities
We agreed to enhance cooperation for promotion/advocacy, knowledge sharing, supporting processes and dialogues, projects preparation, identification of funds and projects implementation.
The parties appreciate the assistance of Mr Robert Lichtner, the Head of Danube Strategy Point for assisting our first steps in the discussions!
The colleagues of the EUSDR PA4 and DSP met Mr Walter King, IAWD President at the Waters 2040: Climate Change and Resilient Water Management in the Danube Catchment event, Austrian National Participation Day in Vienna on 9 April 2024.
