Priority Area 4 “Water Quality” Coordination team (Water Research Institute, Slovakia) together with the Water Directorate of the Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic and in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Slovak Republic organise the international workshop “Climate Change: Challenges in Agriculture and Water Sectors, which will be held on 4 December 2025 in Bratislava.
The aim of workshop is to share experience, knowledge and best practices on sustainable agriculture while enhancing resilience to water and climate change impacts. You will learn about key strategic documents in agriculture and water sectors with focus on climate change adaptation; National Strategic Plans under the CAP in relation to the WFD and the National Action Programmes ND objectives considering climate change adaptation, especially funding possibilities to maintain sustainable water use and water protection in EU Danube countries; financial support of water-friendly and climate-resilient agriculture in non- EU/associated Danube countries, and best practice examples and lessons learnt from water and agriculture sectors to address climate change adaptation at transnational, Danube Region and local levels.
The workshop is intended for agriculture practitioners, water providers, academic and research sector, policy makers, international water related bodies and stakeholders involved in water management and agriculture of the Danube Region countries.
The language of the workshop is English/Slovak.
