5TH EUSDR ANNUAL FORUM
The forum entitled “Innovative Flows – Water, Knowledge and Innovation in the Danube Region”focused on water management and research and innovation in the Danube region. The participants had the opportunity to discuss the achievements and future of the Danube Strategy. Workshops organised within the 5th Annual Forum covered the issues such as water management, knowledge society, governance of the Strategy and links to the EU funds.
The Forum also featured the “Scientific Support to the Danube Strategy” by the DG Joint Research Centre of the European Commission.
Priority Area 4 organised the workshop 2 (3/11/2016, 16.15 – 19.00) named “Water – non-alternative source for life” that was moderated by Zsuzsanna Kocsis-Kupper and Sander Happaerts (seeprogram). The topics of the workshop covered the main objectives of Presidency of the Slovak Republic in Danube strategy in 11/2015 – 10/2016: – dynamic integrated management with regard to climate change; – cooperation of water and agriculural sectors. Moreover the relevant project of priority areas 4, 5 and 6 were presented.
