Financing possibilities for EUSDR water projects: a workshop-webinar was organized by EUSDR Water Quality Priority Area on 9 December 2021 with the assistance of the Danube Strategy Point.
EUSDR PA4 task is to facilitate cooperation among Danube states in relation to water issues, and also to share information about the different funding instruments related to water for EUSDR projects. The current period is important as we are at the edge of the new EU programming phase of 2021-2027 and new calls are being prepared and opened. The reason we organised this short webinar to share actual information about funding possibilities for Danube projects.
At the event two presentations were held from the Danube Strategy: Balázs Horváth PA4 coordinator focusing on PA4 water projects and Mihaela Florea from the Danube Strategy Point focusing on embedding and its state of play.
In the second block two presentations were shared from central funds: about the Horizon Europe water calls and from the LIFE program, Mr András Guti, National Focal Point.
In the third block focus was on the different interregional programmes, as very important tools for our Danube projects. The already opened Interreg Central Europe’s first call was presented (Mr Lubor Jusko), the status of the Danube Transnational Program (Mr Gusztáv Csomor) and afterwards we also heard the experiences and possibilities of the Interreg Europe programme from Ms Marie Guitton.
In the last block we could hear a presentation from the International Visegrad Fund by Mr Dániel Péter and finally we had a very useful practical demonstration about searching techniques developed by Euroaccess by Mr Michael Gansch.
