PA4 EXPERTS ARE DISSEMINATING RESULTS OF THE PRIORITY AREA ON INTERNATIONAL EVENTS
PA4 experts are disseminating resultsof the priority area on international events
November and December 2017 was busy with international events here PA4 colleagues were dissemination main results and funding options:
- ICPDR-World Bank: „International Workshop on Wastewater Management in the Danube river Basin workshop (28-29 November 2017, Bucharest, Romania);
- EU TAIEX Funding Opportunities for the Water Sector workshop (7 December 2017, Brussels,Belgium);
- ICPDR Ordinary Meeting (12-13 December 2017, Vienna, Austria).
ICPDR-World Bank: „International Workshop on Wastewater Management in the Danube river Basin workshop (28-29 November 2017, Bucharest, Romania)
In 28-29 November 2017, Bucharest, Romania with the organisation of the ICPDR-World-Bank an „International Workshop on Wastewater Management in the Danube river Basin has been organised. In the frame of the workshop Ms Zsuzsanna Kocsis-Kupper (PA4 expert) gave presentation about the waste water sector related financing opportunities and she also moderated the afternoon session together with a World-Bank expert. The workshop gave excellent opportunities to discuss questions about the relevant EU policy and regulations and financial possibilities. In the frame of the workshop high number of the non-EU countries representatives were presented and they could discuss about financial, management and technical conditions of the funding programmes.
EU TAIEX Funding Opportunities for the Water Sector workshop (7 December 2017, Brussels,Belgium)
On 7 December 2017, Brussels, Belgium organised by DG Environment, DG NEAR, DG Regio a workshop ‘EU TAIEX Funding Opportunities for the Water Sector‘ was held where Ms Zsuzsanna Kocsis-Kupper (PA4 expert) participated and introduced main elements of PA4 in relation to financing and gave presentation about funding possibilities. In the frame of the workshop 60 experts participated from the following countries and organisations: Albania, Armenia, Azeri, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, Ukraine, Macedonia, Lithuania, Croatia as well as DG Environment, DG NEAR, DG Regio, EIB, WB, ICPDR and Danube Strategy (PA4).
The workshop was focusing on the implementation, regulations of two the main water-related EU directives the EU Water Framework Directive and Waste Water Directive, the non-EU members related policy harmonisation challenges and problems. Further on funding opportunities of EU, EIB and WB were also presented.
ICPDR Ordinary Meeting (12-13 December 2017, Vienna, Austria)
12-13 December 2017, Vienna, Austria he 20th ICPDR Ordinary Meeting was held, where Balázs Horváth, PA4 priority area coordinator participated and introduced results of the PA4 in the year 2017.
