Study on facts, activities, measures and their financial assessment
Climate change affects all aspects of life in the Danube Region, therefore the adaptation to climate change should be mirrored in all priority areas. This topic is highly cross-sectoral and creates a significant space for cooperation within the #DanubeStrategy. In 2020 PA 4 elaborated the study on facts, activities, measures and their financial assessment in connection with water retention in urban areas in the Danube Region in cooperation with the Department of Landscape Engineering of the Slovak Agricultural University in Nitra. Climate change impacts are visible everywhere and therefore the water retention measures should be applied worldwide in order to store water for further uses. Objective of the study is to offer an overview about current status of knowledge about water retention and its management in urbanized areas of the Danube Region. The study has been elaborated in the English language and has up to 70 pages.
